Unbelievable! Surely this is down to insurance companies now and nought to do with the owner of it?
assuming adequate insurance in place for goods in transit ?Unbelievable! Surely this is down to insurance companies now and nought to do with the owner of it?
possession is 9/10ths .... and it's on the land owner's land, so technically he is in possession .... tricky one i'd sayyou’d think the owner has a right (surely!!) to get his kit back
So do you have the right to collect your property that has been deposited on someone else's land? I'd say just go for it as trespass is a civil matter (unless your land is registered under the explosives storage regulations then it's criminal offence)
as said " possession is 9/10ths " .... and yes trespass is a civil matter ..... would you trespass, as a contractor, with a 'Giles' waving a 12 bore around, telling you to get the **** off his property ?possession is 9/10ths .... and it's on the land owner's land, so technically he is in possession .... tricky one i'd say![]()

think I've said before .... came across a caravan chassis behind a 4 x 4 years ago with a pair of twin 10.00-20s embedded in the centre of the caravan's 'bed' .... the rest of the caravan was strewn about a 1/3rd of a mile down the opposite carriageway, to roughly where the lorry missing it's rear wheels was on my side .... must've come off, hit the central barrier and dropped into the top of the caravan, which just exploded ..... absolute carnage
