Honestly I couldn't be bothered to write out the stupid questions I get asked every day, or the simple things I have to tell, supposedly experienced blokes.
It is truly staggering the average intelligence of a site ground worker. And as I've said before on here, I think many of the forum are sheltered from this.

How is that insecure? Not enough chains per machine? I assumed it was because it is stretched/over length and the load is divisible. (Surely in Ireland he should have been done for wasting fuel not carrying enough - could get a micro in the back of the van and a couple of 2.7 tonners in the skips?).

We get a bit more lenience over here used to have to get documentation for over width over weight over length but don’t need it for the last wile..

when I was working for Alex, back in '17, on the lake landscaping job, neither of us knew each other hardly, but after the first morning working with/for him, my rate went up 25% at lunch time ... couldn't believe what I was prepared to do without being asked or told - or that I was 60 :giggle: did my level best to be one step ahead, as far as I could.
Don't write off a 'wrinkly' :LOL: ... very often, been there, done that, got a wardrobe full of tee shirts ;):rolleyes: and want/are prepared to 'get it done':giggle::giggle:

I too have worked with some droids, who, if it wasn't a reflex action, would fail to breathe. :mad:

I think the prices at euros where high, so he could only get a half load.

Classic situation, you get away with something for years, then it bites back.

When I worked on the land there was one bloke I worked with who told us about when they had an ex-army petrol Bedford for the farm wagon. He always used to light his pipe while filling it as the pump was slow. One occasion he lit up then flicked his match away and it went down into the petrol tank. New truck (diesel) and a new No Smoking sign.
