.... coming up the 449 from Newport on the Kawi one afternoon, early '80s and on the opposite carriageway is a rangey parked up, towing the remains of a caravan
....... with a pair of 10.00-20s well and truly embedded in the middle of the chassis ...... the wreckage of the 'van was spread about 1/2 a mile down the road, so assume the wheels had come from my side of the road ..... didn't come across any trucks missing a pair though, so must've come off a trailer they were lucky it'd landed in the caravan and not the towing vehicle

after a good look at that, I don't think there was anyone with it
..... it was just laying there and went off spontaneously ... bloody good job there wasn't anyone around it, looking at that, a few frames at a time .... was a serious explosion

Pretty standard Item. Quarries are big places and it's uncommon for most to run low loaders, Big dumpers, easy way to shift the cat's around.
