I've got so much I'm concerned America may invade tbh.

what sort ? engine/hydraulic/gear box/hypoid? I doubt ringing around'll bring much in the way of better results - they'll all be riding the gravy train with whatever stock they hold to make a killing with
biting the bullet with whatever if you're deperate - if you can hold on? who knows what next week'll be like??
I always stuck with one supplier - Shell direct - and a bit of loyalty seemed to help, as very often, ringing round didn't produce any better prices
