Hi everyone

I've recently bought a grab lorry from a friend, I need to get the operators licence in place my question is how hard is it to get a restricted o licence? I have 3 penalty points on my licence will this effect the application?

Points on your driving licence has no correlation to getting an o licence.

O licence is more to check your integrity of a person/company and ensuring your maintain your lorry and adhere to all associated regulations

Yeah advert in the local rag along with address of vehicle being parked plus more.
If it wasn't such a nightmare I'd buy an oldish 1 for transporting kit

I’ve just done mine recently, I’m only qualified to pull the dildos and I found it straightforward enough

you can do it all online and honestly if I can do it id of thought most on here could. It’s worth doing as the jobs taking a wobble round here so another string to your bow is always handy. My truck has already been handy and I think it will be profitable

Thanks for all the replies, there are companies that can take care of the application process isnt there? They will no doubt charge a small fortune for the service. How much do you need in the bank? Does it need to be a separate account or just the business account?

Go on gov website it tells you exactly what you need if I remember correctly

It's not hard at all. I had that assumption for years, best thing I ever did.

Business account is fine.

+1 on the truck - did 18years with all sorts of combinations and when I finally went that way it absolutely transformed my day to day.
