Seem to drive and steer just fine. Just the lose of the functions mentioned after a min. Skip drops when engine off, button pressed and keys turned on. If I go back next day same again all works for a min then plays up. It’s only done about two weeks hard work since a supposed full service (all fluids filters changed). I can’t say I trust the firm that did it as they did a half arsed job on my digger!!!
Hence I’m a have ago Henry on here. I’ve only actually met one decent fitter(since disappeared) the others have all been really nice people but to be honest full of s**t.

it will ... you're energising the solenoid valve to allow the oil to free return from the skip gear - probably

filter cap doesn't look like it's seen any 'attention' in a lot longer than two weeks ... and they must've been bloody good, not to have spilt at least a little oil, in getting the old filter out, or refilling the tank ... how'd they drain the tank? suction or drain plug ... have a look, see if it looks to have been disturbed?
that breather is your easiest access for a dip stick....they most often have a hex nipple mounting them .. can you get a spanner on it to get it out? ... not a dear item if you have to destroy it to get access to dip the tank.
is there no sight glass in the tank?
as you suspect, you may well have been 'bent over'

that red filter to the right of the return housing looks like it's been on there a while

I have downloaded the manual but it seems it has more detailed tear downs of pumps and transmission. So do I pull the filter to check the tank level and just clear up my mess Many thanks again lol

Tank level is on a sightglass, found on the side of the tank facing the engine. The level shouldn't be that high, if you have unbolted the housing off the tank itself and the level is filled then there is too much oil. Hence it leaving out of the breather you mention which is also a filler. Does the steering work all the time regardless of the tipping hydraulics failing or not.

I can’t for some reason upload videos from my iPad on here. I’ll get back and take some more photos. I know it’s hard to try and help someone who is clueless but it’s very much appreciated. Is the priority valve easy/cheap fix? At some point once I’ve exhausted all I can do if it’s not working I’ll have to find a decent fitter something I’ve not had much luck with in the past lol

Some are fixable! Some aren’t won’t know until I see it
