I will delete this post in the next few days ..........
obstructions in the centre of the yard was my method of stopping 'em just scowing round and tearing up the surface, which was bloody annoying ... forcing the artics into the biggest turn circle you can is the way to keep your yard flat and devoid of lakesI also think the camera has done the yard some justice, it is a fair size but as i say spinning a artic is a problem, the skip was in the way mind you
On the subject of new yards after 4 years, yes four years I finally bought a plot 1/3 acre, had to shift 4,000 cube of soil to get it down to grade and I’ve layed 700 ton of crushed hardcore that came from one of my demo jobs
I’ve made a new entrance onto the main road and fitted a 11 meter sliding gate that came into the scrap yard a few years back that I saved I’ve even got a large building (that I took down from a job) to put up just need a bit of planning permission now
