Cheers guys, good bit of information there,I was convincing myself to go for it,now I am in two completely different minds🤪.My biggest concerns are the ground clearance ( which I hadn’t even considered) and forgetting myself when it’s tilted ,possibly leading to some tippy situations, probably overthinking it now!
The biggest problem I had when considering my ET20 was there were too many options!
-1 or 2 doors
-Side opening window or not-
-VDS?
- different undercarriage options
-Long or short blade
Total nightmare!

Ground clearance was the main reason for me not to go with Vds on expanding tracks- but it seems to work well for others. I was doing a job recently where I had to make a brash mat to do repeated trips over some boggy ground I'm sure the VDS ram would have kept snagging on brash had I had it

I was wrong about the new ifor thread ..the VDS could well become an epic🤭

Had a price for the ET18 which is making me think it might pay to wait for the new model later in the year.
just under 26 plus vat ,manual hitch and 4 buckets, the VDS is nearly 2 grand of that, quite a bit for something I don’t really need.
Thinking a new model ET20 would be a better machine for my needs, hopefully for similar money, currently waiting on a price.

New version ET20 without VDS will probably be similar money id guess.
When I was buying mine. There was only a grand extra for vds. Mine was £24500 bare stick a year ago. With the 4x aux

I think they're taking the piss actually with that price. Does it have the additional aux. It will be what ever they have left in stock- much better to order one factory build and get exactly what you want

Just double actinghammer circuit,To be fair he reckoned VDS is £1700 ,,four buckets around £1000, it comes in about £23000 ,probably £1500ish above where I think it should be🙄.
I don’t mind paying a bit more for a machine I’ve specced and is right for me as I intend to keep it for many years.
