The kx71-3 has been an awesome workhorse for us, 4500 hours now but is heavy 2980kg base. But out digs the 61 by a whole factor more than the few hundred kg.

Cabs aren’t the best on the 71 but they grade and dig brilliantly and apart from wear parts we’ve had no problems with ours

We’ll be in the market for a new one soon but going to have a look around, what’s it like lifting a bulk bag? And is the cab door wider? And different front window opening mechanisms?

Don’t think my 71-3 is plated at that weight!! But with the Engcon it is certainly pushing the limit on the trailer!!
I would happily have another one without hesitation!!

Everyone hits their fooking head on the window lifting mechanism ....I know I did
Tough act to follow is the old 71 ....think I said before - access better and lifts better than 71 but the one I drove didn't grade well on any throttle setting.

Can't keep the old kit running forever though.

I can't remember the Kubota one but I have seen several blokes undo the window catches on hitachis for it to come crashing down on their head as they forgot to lean back

It's like that with alot of replacement models. What you lose in one area you gain in the other. Everyone moans about the TB216 (Including me!) But in some ways it is better that the outgoing 016 I have to say.

It has a something in the way when it's in the up position...maybe you get used to it before your head wears out.

'drema's front window's a hell of a weight .... needs practice handling it and have to position yerself in the right spot with that too

The shiny new thing is still sat on my drive at the minute,been on a job with the crap jcb and our 1.8 tonner the Last few weeks,It probably won’t be getting dirty for a couple more weeks.I did sit in it long enough Saturday evening to somehow bugger up the radio though,and the cup holder holds a bottle of beer perfectly.

Not the case,6.5 hours in and oil everywhere.quick hitch hose came loose under the cab floor,no big deal but a big oily mess!
In fairness dealer out next morning and did a brilliant clean up job,so all good.

Yeah it was the dealer but to be fair these things happen and they sorted it,not really a big deal,main thing was he cleaned it up really thoroughly .all good.
