Neuson/Lifton 1t Dumpers

Half on the lookout for a cheap 1t high lift dumper. Seen a couple of the above for sale, just wondered if there’s any specific issues to be looking out for? I realise I’m at the bottom of the price range, but not against spending a bit here and there to tidy one up. Much as I’d like a newer thwaites I just can’t justify the cost as it’ll only be used occasionally by myself.

Had a new Lifton 750 in 2001 and bought a 2 year old neuson 1001 to replace it back around 2010 and never had any f+r bother. In fact I've had v little bother at all tbh the only thing other than servicing I've recently changed spool valve for tipping, i could have rebuilt the one on it but an aftermarket one and a homemade adapter plate to fit it was cheaper.
I assume you'll be looking for a neuson rather than the earlier lifton (or at least you should imho).

I've heard 3rd hand that they can have electric issues and there about 100mm wider than a thwaites not that thwaites electrics are pretty if you try to work on them

I’ve got 2 no issues with fr even living outside many years, ones quicker than other for some reason great little dumpers
