So we took it to its 1st major outing 2 weeks ago today currently 43 hrs on the machine 21 mine.
To say it has been a poor start is an understatement.
On the Monday we went to fuel it but couldn't remove the fuel cap. The key didn't operate it properly and whatever we tried it would not come off.
Took to site with ½ a tank, contacted dealer who then said I need to go to dealer in my area.
Contact new dealer explain whats happened sent photos, they spoke to Avant new cap granted. Was told they couldn't get to us until the following week.
Then on the Thurs afternoon was told I would have to pay for callout charge at £2 a mile! Phone call to supplier of machine following morning they said they would cover cost so all good.
On the Friday or possibly the Monday i decide to attempt remove cap, success after some careful drilling job done.
Start using the machine again after few hours spot oil on the floor. Cant see anything obvious so wonder whether I'd dug something up. 2 loads later problem spotted. Fitting spewing out hydraulic oil on boom. Contact new dealer send pics try tighten cant get spanner on.
Stop using machine fitter arrives on the Tuesday we both agree poor design the fitting controls the floating boom which he'd never seen this type as usually electric switch.
Attempts temp fix works for few hours then got worse.
Send email following day to both dealers they both contact avant uk and have new kit authorised within 2 hours.
In the mean time had to hire a dumper as no loader frustrating to say the least as had 40t stone to put in.
Anyway fitter turned up today changed part, got my doubts it will last but we will see.
Tbf to all parties they've all helped to sort the problem, just very frustrating. Oh and Avant instructed boom to be die ground out as the fitting rubbed on the cut out, like I said poor design.....
