They Jcb wasn’t from there? That was to load them? Did you then lift that on with hiab?
Yea it’s mine took two loads to EMR Bradford and brought one load home including 5 battery packs 1.5 tonnes each😉

yes lifted the Jcb with the hiab and the two baggage conveyors on the rear of the trailer

This won’t be big enough then,
I put the same in my komatsu and it struggled
What model are these engines pls?
The thing with the machine I’m building is although both the compressor and the generator will be running at the same time only one at a time will be under max load.

My mini excavator is only a 1.5te so this was the right size engine for it. I suspect the one you had in your Mogatsu first round would be about right for my compressor / generator set up.

The original engine was about 1000cc and made about 20hp so I think I’m looking for either a slightly bigger 3 cyl or a small 4 cyl. I’m a bit tight on space so can’t go too big.
Any details you can get on these ones would be appreciated.

Thanks

Don't see how it will work tbh. Genny needs constant rpm compressor rpm fluctuates with demand surely?

The geny will be driving a motor which is not too fussy about frequency so a bit of variation in the engine revs will
not be a problem. As long as it’s 50Hz give or take a bit I think it should be ok.

The air is going to be in use most of the time so having the compressor running at full speed all the time is probably how it will need to be anyway.

The standard governor on the engine should handle it if the manual throttle is set to high revs.

My new project🤔
to make my small flat open trailer
47501B3F-9B51-4832-9A87-68DE4F510511.jpeg

into a covered one, so bought a steel carrier body of a ridged truck

the proceeded to strip everything off it roof, steel hoops, flooring, tie down points, headboard well you get the picture everything😳
E14A4A0D-15C3-4314-B5E8-F4132B6FF096.jpeg

and then pull the deck of my trailer
B4C549C6-3D66-4BEE-BF48-95583BF60D4A.jpeg

Made a start on the tie down points and the chock rails that the ‘steel hoops’ travel in and the head board

it’s great having a shed to work in, warm, dry and out of the wind👍👍

Everybody ought to have a warm dry place to work .......... something I really am going to have to sort too. Not sure if the weather really is getting worse or it's old age setting in 🤔

Not a task that just anyone can undertake! You make it look easy 👍🏼

I smell yet more bullshit!

No way in the world ever did you ‘buy’ anything to do with converting that trailer… Everything will have been delivered directly to you by your scrap fairy without any shadow of a doubt!!!

No I had to buy it😢 BUT with the scrap I cut of my trailer and it had a aluminium floor so should get my money back (plus a bit) I hope👍

I`ve often thought of a slidaflex type cover like that, and a dummy bit of deck with the rails on, just long enough to take the cover in the concertinaed up position, in the corner somewhere, where you can back up to it and slide the whole thing off the truck, onto the dummy deck for storage.

Yea I thought of that too but I’m thinking of having a set of tubes that fit on the telehandler to go under the ‘roof’ and slide them onto them so they will be easier to line up to both on and off👍

Paul, I've been helping my mate draining agricultural fields using a jetter. Do you ever come across anything from the scrap yard with a pump on for this type of thing

Ah ok Paul. Will get some more details. The thing we use is 3 cylinders pto driven. I did see the head off if and it had 3 big ball bearings in it.
