2 jointer friends had the big festool saws, they’ve had no end of problems with them. Not their usual high standards
Ks120 110V was the lemon sadly.
KS60 is the smaller one and fine in 240 and 36v .
Arguably the best mitre saw ever made.

When the time comes I would like the festool saw. Having said that i think the new makita has forward facing rails.
This is a feature I want my next saw to have as rear facing rails mean you can't put it up against a wall.
Yeah makes a difference. If you want precision the festool is hard to beat

I’ve the big dewalt 780 saw, it’s 110v so a pain sometimes getting enough power to it! If the battery version was available when I bought it I’d of 100% gone for battery!
Also have the guide rail cordless dewalt saw, it’s a proper game changer!! Probably best cordless tool I have in fairness!

Id go makita or dewalt. Had a 305mm dewalt 110v for a long time never had a issue with it other that extract pipe clogging if on bag not hoover. Currently looking at makita 40v 216mm for more convenience as the 305mm is a bit weighty.

Track saws are awesome make life so easy! Ive got a corded makita plunge saw and a 40v circular saw that fits track great kit. 3m rail is really handy aswell!

Yeah first festool was the tracksaw my I'd wish I'd had 1 30 years ago, as you say indeed a game changer

A few years ago I spent a wad on a Makita compound mitre saw and a Hitachi router. Early this year someone gave me a Power Devil router and an Evolution compound mitre saw, you could probably buy both for the cost of the Hitachi, and I end up using them over the “quality” weapons as the saw is more accurate on the angles, and the router is lighter and better Balanced.

Best router OD2000 I think it is festool again you can leave it running on the bench and it doesn't move

I’ve a big trend 1/2 router but seldom use it as the little 1/4 18v DEWALT does everything I need portably. Think the trend hasn’t been out since I last used worktop jig 8 years or more ago

I recently got a festool track saw and it is very good , the domino is also very good. The dust extraction with two Henry's attached is impressive. Yesterday I cut a shelf to size and probably 10+ mortices and didn't have a spec of dust on me.

That was going to be my next question… dust extraction - given all vacuums which aren’t class M are now banned(Henry included!) does anyone reccomend one?
I ideally want bagless. Pointless having the auto start as most tools are now cordless or 110v

Festool. Bluetooth to batteries for auto start which works really well.
M is mainly for sites nothing stopping you using L class
If you not bothered about Bluetooth or M class the CT25 is a good machine .
