Heard the same from grab driver today, no demo going on.
Also said there's a shortage of primary aggregates, something to do with no trains bringing it in

None of the quarries down here keep much stock since 2008 recession and with COVID the clay quarries haven't been getting as much rock as imerys hasn't been making china clay due to demand is lower currently
The proper granite quarries have had staff retainment issues and one just before COVID ripped out there fixed crusher and screening plant to replace it but the mobile tracked gear that's was temporarily used just couldn't keep up like a fixed system can and broke down often
Currently have to ring the quarries to book just one load of chippings if your after 14mm or 20mm
All of them missed the opportunity to bang through loads before the change from red to white cheeper insuring decent stock levels and sell at higher white prices later on
Now we have 3 major roads being built and they are all barely making enough for the tar plants
Did get asked if I wanted to work in one of the quarries to help them out
due to staff issues and people leaving (colas)

So I was wondering would a crusher bucket work with the Avant?
Not as convenient as a bucket but bigger lift capacity and dual pumps.

I have a chap who took one of mine and made a cradle up to sit the bucket upright and just feeds it with the digger but powered off his Avant.So I was wondering would a crusher bucket work with the Avant?

Our bucket is about £3500 cheaper and 27" wide

I considered doing something similar on a 3cx, big as you can safely get crusher bucket on the front quickhitch , keep machine stationary and feed with a smaller machine, my biggest concern was the dust drawing straight up into the engine as they would of been very close!
Avant would work better with it being rear engined I guess.
Also it’s then two trips with the trailer etc?

Tractor crusher is 1k a day and you can send 700ton a day with 13ton loading clean stuff flat out - needs equivalent size or 3cx clearing the belt though!
