OK I know there are a few threads on here.

But I've got stuff on a job that would need removing and then new or recycled back in.

We can't get rid of old without paying around here and bringing in recycled around £14 a ton plus vat. Grab lorry around here around £325 for concrete etc I think. So say old away and new in £30 ish a ton plus vat.

Say 3 ton an hour production so around £90 hrs less fuel labour etc.

Is it worth it?

Is the grab plus vat?
Looks about £34.32 per ton plus all the time to move it out and bring it back in

Not much help on this but not sure on the crushing buckets output but the 1t or so tracked crushers say they do 6t an hour but from what I've seen you'll be lucky to do a full grab load in a day if the material is hard.
My mate who hired the tigerbite wouldn't have it again but is debating trying the small red rhino to see if any better, he was going to try the 3000 but it's only available with their operator which pushes the price up

There is probably a small saving but not sure if it's worth it

What size machine are we talking? Its early days with my CB8 bucket from Digbits but its comfortably doing 5t/hr and with hardcore away being £15/t and new 6f2 being upwards of £30/t its making very good money already. I've just riddled a load for tomorrow to see if it improves output further. Didn't take long to riddle, but all adds to the time taken so it needs to give me another ton/hr at least I think

So you're into CB3 size then. I don't think you're far out on your estimation of 3t/hr, and you know your costs for stone, so it really comes down to if its worth it for you I guess. One thing to factor in as an owner operator is that whilst your crushing and saving the customer money, you could be getting the job done faster and onto the next one in theory making yourself more money if that makes sense. There is a bit of a stigma amongst some clients that recycling it on site must be free and therefore a huge cost saving to them. Suddenly your time, investment and risk isnt getting paid....
But there are also some clients that will pay MORE for recycling it on site. In favour of saving the planet. You've just got to sell it right. These are the people you want to be working for.

I’ve used the small and mid sized Red rhino’s quite a few times and found it only really adds up if the alternative is moving material in and out with difficulty, say restricted access down the side of a house, or as @Gunners says, the customer likes the idea of recycling and you can charge accordingly.
There are a few mid sized crushers that look more productive than the Red Rhino’s but I’ve never found anyone in my area that has one.
The crusher bucket I used once on my 8tonner , hired from @CPS 👍 during Covid lockdown, did a good job probably in line with the production @Gunners is getting, mind numbing job but at the time it worked for me as no stone or Muckaway was available.
Also production of any type of crusher will vary hugely depending on the size and type of material and it only takes a few blockages to throw any target way out.

Them prices make me wince!! Last hardcore I had grabbed away was £120 a 8w grab load.. and I moaned at that 😂

Used to have a company in Derbys which would pick it up for free if they were running low on stock, but only really clean good stuff which is understandable!

Our local 1 used to but last time went 30 a load for 3.5t iveco

2 or 3 places my way will let you tip clean hardcore for free for either a transit or tipper trailer load would assume similar for larger vehicles and around £20-40 per load for inert (transit or tipper trailer) but it's a good 45+ mins round trip no matter how close you are, by the time you get there, wait, tip and return so only handy for the odd load or working at your own house where time isn't costing you delays

Most places will let you tip clean concrete for free some places definition of clean is a bit slack aswell.
Massive shortage of crush here at the moment. Phoned 5 or 6 companies last Wednesday before we found some.
