I was told that you can generally buy 3 Sunwards for the price of 2 mainstream brands. Dunno how true that is though…

I got quoted £22,100 for the 1.6, Yanmar was £22,500 for the SV17

So basically a nearly £10k jump in 2 years. Dearie me. There's a fairly hi spec 2021 Yanmar SV26 for sale near me at the mo- £24000 it is with 4 pipes etc. Done nearly 900 hrs. If used prices remain high it would actually stack up buying it because it's done £10k of depreciation in 2 years but would probably still be worth £16k by the time it reaches 3000+ hours. Doesn't work out too bad per hour
