I know all you guys are 'battery mad' on all this gear, but anyone know what these are like
Generic Chinese system, sold by a lot of people.

Heavy, lots of vibrations.

Not being funny, but your body isn't getting any younger and you've got quite a plot to maintain. You can't take it with you, so I would invest in something decent and give your body a fighting chance.

Having done half an hour of hedgecutting with a Stihl long reach the other day, and feeling my hands afterwards, I'm changing to battery and damn the cost. Probably Milwaukee, I have tons of batteries and their stuff always impresses me.

If you wish to disregard my advice, I will have a Stihl petrol combi system with strimmer, hedgecutter, rotavator, polesaw, extension pole and lawn edger for sale! Unless I just change that to an electric combi and Sithl batteries. Undecided.

Absolutely couldn't agree more 👍
I've got bits of both but the ergonomics of the Stihl and battery life are considerably better .
I deffo go with the Pro AP system for the extra cost though.

I have one of their 4 stroke strimners and it's ok I also have a back pack blower and that's great I have a generic Chinese thing like that (sgs) and I have to say it's so heavy my wife can't use it but on the other hand in the last 3 years it's been reliable although I don't use it often

Spot on, I've had a couple of larger hyundai machines and while they're OK for the money, this is not a combi system I'd consider. The smallish stihl ones I use are heavy enough after a while.

You reckon the stihl battery setup is more ergonomic and batteries better than Milwaukee?

I have this kit, the sgs one. Id totally agree with what everyone has said. A great bit of kit, for occasionally use.. but id hate to be using it daily. The vibration is bad. So much so that its easier to get shouted at for not strimming around the edge.

I will be going for a battery setup, had been thinking of the husqvarna cordless kit?

I’d not rush into the husky stuff personally mate, my experience of it had been disappointing tbh. When working it’s great but it is very unreliable/apparently weakly built.

Yea?
All of my cordless stuff is Snap-on which is good stuff but they only do Mechanic tools as such.
I have been tempted to go milwaukee for other stuff, i guess if i went milwaukee for the garden stuff i could always buy bare tools for other things like sds drills etc 🤔

Yes Stihl kit deffo more ergonomic and nicer to use less vibes etc...at the end of the day it's all they make.
Batteries last ages but are 36v obvs.
Easily do 1/2acre of edge strimming on 1 battery with 90R strimmer.

But it's silly money and if you've got Milwaukee etc batteries anyway it's no brainer to with the brand you have.
Fir instance The new Milwaukee top handle is on par with with new Stihl for power imo but half the price but not quite as ergonomic and batteries over heat too easily compared to stihl so there's trade offs with everything.
I've had 161t for ages which lovely to use and lasts for ages but simply not powerfull enough...M18 Topper eats it for breakfast.

Milwaukee is is best of the "power tool" manufacturers for outdoor kit now imo and normal power tools but that's a touchy subject 😬
Range grows litterally all the time streets ahead of anyone else . Some of the stuff in the pipeline is nuts 😎

Although Makita makes some good stuff, you're probably right on the Milwaukee they have been a bit more innovative in recent years.

I'm heavily invested in the Makita, but whatever brand you're using, battery IMHO is now much better than petrol equivalents.

Only thing I can't see it replacing is ground saws anytime soon .
Still can't beat a session on the 550 with sharp chain for a quick pile of firewood for the stove...pure therapy 😊

Go Milwaukee and then try their grinders and impacts. You will sell your snap on.

And send me my bloody hitch pipes!!!

If you reckon the stihl Combi is better then I might just buy that and a couple smaller batteries as I already have a petrol setup. It will cost no more than buying all the Milwaukee attachments again.
