Looking at getting a little micro to do mainly fencing and the odd bit of landscaping. Are they man-enough to handle an auger to make 600mm holes with a 9/12" flight ?
Get a larger auger motor. I run the pdx2 (30-55lpm) on the micro (20lpm flow). It’s a bit slow but can drill through mudstone with rock teeth on the auger.Depends alot on the ground. A 12" hole round round here you'd need an 8 ton machine. Withe a micro you could almost dig out with small bucket
You will bore a surprising amount with the right torque and teeth. If you spec the right motor to start with then speed and downforce are your limitations.I would say you will definitely come across ground that you can’t bore with a300 mm auger on a micro. Also check your micro will lift high enough to clear the ground ie total length of auger +motor & swivel bracket.
