Micro digger buckets

I've got a 900mm off a dx19 on my dx10 seems to be about the same weight as the 900mm "micro" land rake I have for it

Yeah in all fairness the ditcher isn't too bad weight wise it's just a PITA when we can only get a barrow in! I think my labourer is getting pi##ed of with using the shovel to clear a path for it!

I got a 600mm Strickland bucket and It does seam a lot better made than the rhinox ones.
I hardly use the smaller buckets now it's either the grader or the 600.

Get em with a flat edge as well as the teeth, just switch between. Well handy and bugger all extra for the bucket edges. I did have to cut the side teeth off though, as they are welded to the edges of the shell. Larger buckets have the proper corner teeth.

Hmmm the only bit specced for the e10 is pins at the top you could argue bucket size is up to you to decide. To be fair they should advise and know which you'd need

It Looks like Strickland or bmc might be the way forward then! Anybody had any experience of digbits stuff for the micro? Cheers.

the e10/dx10 and also the tb210r should easily handle a 50kg bucket, mine handles the 900mm dx19 bucket over the tracks at full reach with no issues, there is a pic on another thread somewhere.

With all the stick that whites get, the buckets seem well made, as mine have had zero issues, no dents/bends or broken teeth

It handles it but it’s bloody cumbersome. It’s not about how manly your digger is lifting buckets a size to big for it, it’s about being precise, neat and efficient for me.
You say no issues, but the issue is that it’s working twice as hard as it needs to and it’s far harder to be precise. Uncurling into a dumper is more of a pain too, with the longer bucket lip- it’s a chore as it is with the e10s limited lift without making it worse.

It's not just that i often find with micro digger you're tight for room, perched on an edge or somewhere not exactly guaranteed stable and as doob says loading something small extra unnecessary weight is best avoided.

My only bent and prematurely worn buckets are of the whites variety.

You'll hear something negative about all bucket makes at the cheaper mass produced end of the market. Tbh if they can't make a micro bucket that lasts it doesn't bode well for anything bigger. My taki dealer supplies harford, whites and geith as their most common makes. I've always had harford with my takis and when I've asked about others they've said stick with your harfords if you're happy with them

I'd never heard of whites when I bought the machine. Previously only ever had genuine cat, genuine jcb, and genuine kubota.

I've had to send 2 geith buckets back as they were twisted.

I've got 2 worn out whites buckets....2 worn out hitches....as a comparison I've a machine 9 years older and that's still on its original jcb buckets, minus a new edge on the ditcher, rest are still on original teeth and plenty of thickness left in the metal.

Whites disease. Fitted to new machines by the dealer cause they’re cheap.
I sent my new set down the road with the old mini, and the new mini is still running the five year old Strickland set.

Strickland used to make JCB buckets I believe I used to sell quite a few sets of strickland buckets over here .... not sure they manufacture their own any more ?
Whites seem generally poor along with their horrible hitches

I've seen some pics recently of Strickland buckets for 13ton 360 and bigger and looking at some of the welds they won't get my money.
