Yeah it sucks. This one does have a plate in the front hook you can tighten to eliminate play, but the bucket won't come off any more. You have to find a sweet spot of on/off ease and reasonably small play. It will keep it from getting sloppier as it ages though.

If I were to do it again I'd buy the machine with no hitch or buckets from Takeuchi USA.(TAG supplies the buckets and hitches for TAK/US)

"where there's a will there's a way .. more than one way to skin a cat .. necessity is the mother of invention " very crafty Keith ... can't beat a good solid bench to work on ;) .... that's an old nibbler Boyo .. looks a good un though ..... may have needed a bigger ratchet strap if it'd been 6mm though :giggle:

I like wedges and hook plates ... can abuse stuff into shape well, with a good wedge (y):giggle::cool:
I do body work too😉 bought this trailer with a bent fender. It never touched the tire but was too close for comfort.

I did this earlier in the year. Just recently I painted all the surfaces I step on with truck bed liner.(Almost busted my A loading up in the rain one night). Looks so good now I have to find time to paint the rest of it.

That third picture of the alloy rim seems to be an orphan on your post.
Is it showing the rim split around it's inner circumference?

He’s using it for leverage, to pull the mudguard up! You can see in the pic the chains over the tyre, thinking outside the box 👍

Yeah, I realised that, probably needed a better choice of words.
My question was about the rim itself. If you look closely at it, it seems the centre spokes have party company with the outer rim. It might be the angle of the picture, or some form of rim guard, .....just curious.

It's a forged 2 piece rim. Supposed to look like that, and is a strong/light set of wheels. I had them on a Audi from 2004-2006 and have been holding on to them ever since thinking I'll get another vehicle they fit......

My new bucket and cart did some work this morning. The bucket is awesome, scoops and drops the dirt so smoothly. Being able to scoop right up the the blade without having the sweep the boom is great. Will be easier to cut a track or hang up the bucket on the blade, but I accept the risk for the benefit.

Rushed over to prep an above ground pool spot. They wanted to get it up before the 4th. Fairly level but one side was soft. Pulled the soft stuff till something solid was found. Used 3.5tons of crush-n-run to level then compacted it. I walked over 3 and a little extra carts of sand. Could have done it in 2 trips if door was finish(not even started). Was about 2 tons of sand. Spread and compacted and was done.

My 18" bucket has enough flat that I can scoop up the plate compactor and set it in the cart!

Probably overkill, there aren't exact US regs for this size machine so I do it like they recommend for 11k lbs and up.

I slapped this together with the shipping frame from a tractor rototiller and some cut offs pieces. Works really well, going to add a couple supports for the screen and some short walls. Then try to get as much done as possible before it rains. Probably won't work at all if the soil is damp. This was shaking out like flour.

Used the 18"er to make some more yard. Clearing out the crap under the older trees. Where the machine is, used to look like the area to the left. It worked pretty well but as expected the 12"ER with teeth is better for most trees. I think I'm going to make a ripper next.....

I was asked to make this nasty wet area drain, but remove the least amount of material possible and try to follow the natural terrain.
Screenshot_20200821-200720.png

Trying to track as little as possible, water was squishing up. It was some stinky black dirt on top. Now that it drains I'll come back and touch it up once it's drier.

I would have rather dug straight and deep. Lol. They're going to clean up the piles with a FEL. Had to move the laser around a few times. Sometimes the remote angle works smoothly then other times it seems like nothing, nothing, them bam way past where you wanted. Kinda frustrating in the sun and 43.333C heat index. Said heat is why I forgot to take any final pics,.

I spent 22hours in two day helping a friend do some utility work. I liked running the big machines but I didn't like anything else about it. Lol. I'm happy to be back in the country.

I did learn a couple things and got to see what happens when someone hits a 19kw electric line. One hell of a pop n flash!! Whole neighbor hood out of power and I think every one came out and asked "Y'all the reason the powers out?". Lol. No, dominion didn't mark the line!

I spent some time on this it was .5mile trip through the hood then an Aldi parking lot to get scoops of gravel and bring it to trench. She's a big beotch.

Cat 315f was the other machine I spent some time in.

Hot as crap out here in this field.

I didn't enjoy the work but it did give me confidence seeing how much money can be made with so little attention to detail and safety👎 I don't want to work up to this but could if I wanted to😁
