I’m getting over 30 mpg with mine and it’s also got the bfgs . It’s way better on fuel than the sprinter 313s it’s also specced 7t gtw

Mine is auto 4x4, and is on 255 65 R17 tyres which have a bigger rolling radius than stock (the speedo is more accurate with these tyres than it was with the standard ones).
And I’m a crap driver!

Is the 4x4 on them haldex? So fwd majority of the time and only 4x4 if wheel slip?

Yeah - I wasn’t expecting much but it’s actually bloody good! The lads got stuck halfway up an icy hill (it was difficult to walk/stand up on) in an unladen Iveco daily with 2.5 tonnes of chipper on a trailer and my van dragged them straight up. It was all traction-control smoke-and-mirrors (I just planted the throttle) and I thought I’d locked the rear diff but actually hadn’t - however it did it easily and everyone was surprised!
The 4wd kicks in seamlessly really fast, it’s a lot better system than I expected truth be told.

Folk can whittle on about not having stick control for diffs and low ratio all day long but for 90% of real life situations modern 4x4 control systems are seriously impressive...feels like nothings happening and away you go

Haldex system is pretty good, far less drag when not needed I would think. Remember having it on my old R32….boot it into a roundabout and had to get pretty loose before it kicked in and grabbed the back end

Although I used to say with the R32 and Rs when it finally did go wrong on a bend it was very wrong...🫣 Least GTI let you know a bit earlier

Replaced the sensor tonight so we’ll see what happens with that. It’s also used a bit of coolant, which looks like signs of EGR/ EGR cooler failing

Yours looks same spec as mine and same colour as well just mines higher roof , have you got the heated seats and the car play dab radio ? You done well to find one with 7.0t GTW they are like hens teeth

I hope the fault doesn’t mount to much . Do you have vag-Com ? I haven’t tried plugging mine in yet , I’m assuming it’ll be the same as all Audi vw

I’ve got vagcom but my cable won’t do post 2015 stuff. Not sure if mk2 crafter is supported anyway. The joys of second hand vehicles and emissions crap!!

I’m wondering about getting mine out once it’s out of warranty . Dpf issues with the sprinters cost me a fortune . I was hoping that after 10 years they would be better now but seems not the case

I think a lot of it is luck of the draw, my T5.1 had a dpf and in 5yrs only ever had regen warning come on twice!

Management light hasn’t come back on yet, but haven’t been far in it today. Did a bit of searching in the crafter/tge group on Facebook and I think the egr cooler is a common fault that doesnt appear to be mileage dependant. Looks to be about £400 and an hours job if you’re handy with spanner’s. It’s more the time to replace it I haven’t got at the moment.
