Sad ... lost several mates like that as a youngster ... still got two with tin left legs from encounters with a traccies coming out of gateways ... the one used to stride in the workshop, slap it on the bench and say "stick a bit of weld on that then Gra ! ":oops:

this time of year is tractor season though LL

dont all them donercycles for nothing. Roads are way to busy for bikes to be safe, even if the bike is in the right they still lose when some idiot pulls out etc

it's called defensive riding Fred - treat everything as being piloted by morons.... a lot of these 'born agains' are accidents on their way to a location to happen ... it's no wonder a lot end up on a slab.
it's unusual for youngsters to be on anything major as the costs're prohibitive, but a lot (of all ages) think they're Joey Dunlop/Bazza or whoever todays equivalent is, whatever they're riding and once they get the old adrenalin going .... they're on their way to 'the location'.

I've no sympathy for any motorcyclist who gets in a tangle with a slow moving vehicle..... Most ride on the inside of a lorry up it's arse rather than a length or two behind on the centre ready to either Brake or Hammer down and pass depending on circumstance.....

I had one moaning recently that ploughs don't have lights on and it's dangerous. Same twat rides his 100 cc thing up the arse of my wagon on a regular basis...... Issue is not others in general.

If they`re claiming agri, trailer weight limit of 18.29t
every transport operator/ plant operator in the country should bombard their MPs, chief con.s, DVSA, and anyone else they can think of, weekly, to demand proper policing of these cowboy operations, get them nailed and off the roads..... for every legit movement, I'll wager there's 30-50 that aren't.    I could name five straight off here without even having to think about it .... legit operators just can not compete

ooooooops ... forgot to press post last night :unsure:

totally agree Rory........ two things to be looking for .. danger and opportunity, driving/riding ...... most of 'em can't see either 'til it bites 'em ....... silly season round here will see one or two fatalities a week with bikers ....... and I'm not anti bike - have had one since i was 12 .. currently have several sat in a box - love 'em .. just annoyed by the standard of riding, from 'most'

Just FYI I love bikes..... The reason I don't have one is my urge to gain enjoyment is far stronger than my interest in a long long life...... Thus a fatal accident is inevitable. I'm fine with this but on a bike it will likely impact others which I'm not fine with. No one should have to jet wash a person off the road 😉

obviously a different Devil's Bride to my one ....
my fave Sunday 'bimble' Talgarth, Builth, Rhayader, Devil's bridge, up over Elan valley & Plynlimmon mountain road, Cwmystwyth, down to Devil's, Aberystwyth for a coffee, then head for Tregarron and take the middle of no where mountain road, down the Devil's staircase, for Abergwesyn, drop off along Lyn Brianne res. to Rhandirmwyn and back onto the A40 at Landovery for a 40ish mile blast home :giggle::giggle:
Last time I was up there was on me z1300 with Pam on the back ... middle of no where and hadn't had it long ... i'm thinking if this breaks down she is gonna kill me :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
