Got Paul Mogman written all over it!
I can never understand the Army. We get regular convoys of tank transporters out on the road empty. Then they go and pay Metcalfe Farms to move stuff. Why don't theypractice actually moving their stuff themselves? I assume they are not expecting Metclafe to take them to war, so practicing loading, unloading, chaining down safely, actually hauling a load in real life would be good experience.View attachment 11952.
Nice heavy duty loader at balinluig today

Didn't know that. There is always loads of plant lying about on bases, most in unused condition with paint still all over the buckets. The loader in the picture looks unused, but interesting looks like it might be an armoured cab.I was reading something the other day
About the earthmoving kit for army isn't actually owned by the government
It's all on a PFI contract and the army just short term rent exactly what they want to play with then offhire it when they have finished playing
They don't maintain it move it or anything
I don't know if some of the armour is the same
It isJust seen this in face book thinks it's Irish
Be a bit under powered for a 20 ton plus machineAt least he appears to be chaining it down. I guess a big tractor like that will pull it no problem.
