Looking for a newer machine

Ok so I'm looking for a newer 1.5 -2 Ton machine to replace my old Kubota kh5 what should I be paying for a 2010 ish cabbed machine I know it's fairly variable based on condition and hrs however I don't mind a bit of tidying up ect tbh most things would be an improvement on the kh5 even don't mind more major mechanical issues if the price is right see my lifton thread also where's the best place to look a lot of face book seem too good to be true

3500 is no budget at all and probably a scam.

You will be spending around 10k for a 2010 machine with a cab.

got a link ... sounds way too cheap if you can't touch it/try it and take it with you I'd be very wary

Tbh your never going to go sub 8k again on a modernish machine under 20 years old. Equally the older square machines on pilots will stick around 5-6k and levers will stay above 4k.

The gear that is going to significantly devalue is new stuff.

Ok I will take some tomorrow the kx41 was a scam wanted me to pay for delivery and then pay when happy with it said I need to see it before any money changes hands he then disappeared seen another 2003 jcb 8014 for 5500 with trailer seems reasonable for a 20 year old machine don't know much about jcbs tho

very happy with my '03 8015, but it came from a good home ... member on here .... with very low hrs .... worst you could do is go take a look at it ... depending on the hrs, I'd not say it was overpriced IMHDO ... can't buy much for circa £4k ... trailer's got a fair value on its own.

I don't really need the trailer as I have the tiltbed but like you say it has value so I can sell it on good to hear that they are good machines I don't really mind what make I get but I was going to avoid Chinese type machines

I kind of agree, but if newish machines are down to 12k, then stuff ten years old will be under 8k!

Yeah I put down 10k first time, never had to since. Don’t buy the shiny repainted kit as it’s always hiding something!

Ok next question is it actually worth going to auction as by the time you add fees ect I'm not sure it's much cheaper than a dealer

Where do you think the dealer gets most of his stock from…? It’s a good 10/20% cheaper! But the risk is all yours.

Seen a hanix h15b for 5k with a rain cover not dealt with them before are they a reasonable machine looks like a misibishi engine like the terex machines any thoughts other one was a 2007 bobcat cabbed but it seems a bit cheap at 5k both in scotland
