got pix of the rest of the bits Dyl? how does the starter engage with that flywheel? .... the casting might be weldable, but'd have to almost certainly be stripped from the motor and clinically clean to weld it ... assuming you have enough of the detached bits to re-attach

No driver abuse. One lad on it, his brother wanted his turn so stood in front of motoring quad and got drove over
this was the result, think it had been bodged before. I need to know how to get fly wheel off

can you see the end of the threads, also it will depend which way the engine turns as to if itd left hand thread i think if engines clockwise it will be anti clock wise so it self tightens but i could be barking up the wrong tree that may only be when its held by taper keyway or splines probably be right hand thread.

Bloody hell, absolutely No on the impact gun Until you’re absolutely sure on the thread. Remember it’s probably made of Chinesium. Even then best to lock the flywheel through the starter pocket and use a bar and socket.

now I've spotted the chain I am assuming the three SHCS are holding the sprocket on the back of the flywheel .... personally ... I'd slack off the flywheel nut, to the end of the crank's threaded bit, having made a circular/triangular (easier to get behind) plate and replace each of the SHCS with longer bolts through said plate, one at a time to keep the sprocket in place .... nip up all three a little tighter than 'touch down' and give the centre of the plate a decent tap ... shock should release the taper lock....if it doesn't go with a couple, nip up the three bolts a little tighter, being careful not to strip the threads in the sprocket and repeat. Not too big a hammer and the blow needs to be nicely square to the plate face .... be surprised if it doesn't let go fairly easilyNo driver abuse. The engine is essentially a Honda step-though (Honda cub etc.) - probably more engines of that design than every other motorcycle combined.
A complete engine is worth pricing before you commit yourself too deep.
The flywheel will almost definitely be a key/tapered shaft design where the bolt just stops it coming loose, but takes no real load.
The pull should look like this:

that's a conventionally mounted flywheel though .... Dylans is inverted with the coils carried, presumably in the cover

Oh - yes, you are right. You can see the external thread in the pics, I hadn't picked up on it.
It's "this" type of flywheel
and it'll need the "other" puller

Not if you use the ugga dugga gun. Pretend it’s a formula 1 wheel change, you’ll be fine!

that is not going to pull it off the tapered key shaft MB .... the nut simply holds it on there .. you then have to pull it to break the tapered seat stiction
