This thread is reminding me that I started a long thread about our micro crane trailer build and then forgot to finish it.

Fully finished and Loler back in 21. Got used a lot.. not so much these days as the work we built it for has dried up a bit , but pretty much paid for itself in process and doesn’t cost money to have it sat in shed on standby

24v hydraulic pump running off 2 lorry batteries . All up the front to keep weight where it needs to be . Set up with a forklift charger . Works a treat.

I think what I'll do, is build the crane up on the truck and then test it with the beaver pack before I take it to bits to mount on the truck. Then if it doesn't work for my expectations I can then look at a pto kit.

Just awaiting the chassis cab to arrive which may be a week or 2 away. Its a mk6 transit, he bought it 5 years ago and spent a fair amount of time going through it and sorting out the transit crustyness which they are known for but he's no longer able to work ect ....I've known the lad for about 16 years so I know the story is correct.

I think that it will be fine having seen pictures of the crane you intend to use . The crane that I saw mounted on a trailer was bigger with more hydraulic rams . The pump never had any pressure or volume issues it just lacked tank capacity.
