Hi everyone… next on my list is the service on the engine. Can anyone identify what exact model engine I have here. I only know it’s a lister P, 3 cylinder diesel. Here’s a serial number I noted down.
SN: 3700752P6003A006
35.3
BHP 2600
I’d be interested if anyone knows which engine oil to use and how much to put in if possible. I was also looking for a dip stick and found something resembling one however it doesn’t seem to pull out 🤦‍♂️👍👍

Its a P600/3 I think.
ordinary 15/40 mineral oil will be fine in my opinion. And I’d say that it is the dipstick that you’ve found, but it’s just stuck in there! I think it’s a very similar (maybe same?) block to a TS/TR engine, the dipstick looks very similar from the pic. If so the top is plastic, with an O ring seal. Try getting some grips on it and give it a twist, see if you can get it moving. Possibly a bit of WD40 or Duck Oil round it will help.

I’m thinking of de greasing and jet washing the engine etc . Should I do this running or not ? Any pit falls to doing this 👍👍👍

just don't give it a lungful of water in the inlet :oops:
