Light Weight Plant trailers from Germany

Evening all, Thought I'd post something constructive and not a conspiracy

Saw these at Bauma, well made and super light weight..... upto 3200kg payload They do have a high price tag as you can imagine ... think he said 8000 Euro for a plant trailer.

They had a 3 way tipper there also, with a beavertail, looked brilliant and would tick a lot of boxes, but the 17000 euro put me off!

My German is non-existent but looking at the figures I’m guessing they allow for 100kg nose weight/implied load onto the tow vehicle to get to their maximum carrying capacity. I know that has been discussed here before at length…..

will only tipp off the sides though Aiden ..... rear tip is to use the load ramp only - too much overhang to tip a load ... as said - serious money !!

presume you're talking about this asterixed comment MB

as has been discussed at length previously ..... whatever nose weight you 'choose' to impose - legal or otherwise
the gross weight of the trailer can not exceed 3500kgs as it's illegal to tow more than that on over run brakes ....... TBH I'm surprised at a German manufacturer even suggesting it and really can't see their trailer weighing a mere 300kgs, especially as their 3500kg GVW trailer has taller sides than it's sisters
I assume "Ground Floor Approx." is the unladen weight of these, so HTF they arrive at a 3200kg payload is a bit of a mystery

Dunno about ifor but was in the Bateson website the other day and didn't think prices were too terrible there...

Yeah so a 10ft x6ft 3500kg tipper from Bateson with ramps meshside, treadplate floor etc comes in at £5800plus vat. But with out extras can be had for under £5k. Think I'd sooner stick with Bateson/ifor types rather than the German stuff. Although have been tempted by the Debon trailers before as they look quite good- made in Polland- and actually have a website you can read

Reminds me a guy that does van and trailer transport swears by polish trailer. Atlas something from memory , certainly looked well made and cracking ul weight .

Briefly.... every stand hand some sort of EV on it.
There's not alot of the EV stuff that impresses me yet..... not saying it won't come.... but its a long way off

Assuming they were on some sort of pipe when coming up with those figures
Tipper trailer looks very easy to be badly loaded and potentially a handful to control.

If I have read it right the plant trailer is 650kg unladen so doesn't seem to be any better than the Ifor and worse than the alumax. The rear ramps are good, looks like ability to easily take them off I was thinking of doing something similar about the Ifor

@Bri963 from what I can tell the same 3.5t except the big old can of worms of increasing tongue weight increases payload of the trailer by adding load to the tow vehicle. So a tongue weight of 300kg would give you a 3150kg payload
