Been today, namely to talk to some organisations face to face about stuff and training. Same old same old really.

NAAC however is well worth joining having spoken to them today.

what are the benefits of it looks expensive at over £700 a year for the amenity side of it?

It's done on turnover. £308 for smaller setups. £700 odd is for those running £200,000+ annually.

Lot of information, a team that are actually interested in helping you and discounts/legal advice to members. Early days for me (But as a student I can be a member for £24 with full access to the above 🤣). I'd say the NAAC would also listen and get a seat at the table for a small member too as opposed to the CPA who are only interested in the Flannerys of the world.

Early days but I'm impressed.

Years ago I got stopped on the M5 and taken into Tiverton for a mult-agency check. Eventually got to leave under warning of impending prosecution for tacho and drivers hours despite my insistence that fixed agricultural plant was different rules. The vehicle owner contacted the NAAC (as a member) and by the end of the day the police were denying ever stopping me and I was free to carry on as before 🙂

Is the land drainage training day free as a member? £24 is a bargain then 👍

4 of us went on Thursday, really enjoyed it 👍
Topped up the free pen collection nicely but didn't manage a single notepad 😆
Shed loads to look at, some very impressive machines and plenty of clever stuff.
Bought myself a milwaukee m12 stick pump, had a couple of occasions recently where one would have come in handy, and a really nice Bahco/Mora knife- razor sharp, solid, comfortable and only a tener!!
Bloody nice to be inside all day too, absolutely foul weather outside!

Been using our M18 quite a bit since I bought it 2 months ago. Way easier than settling sump pump up

Talking of that, plantworkx is now going to be held at the NEC, will be less demo areas and I’m sure what there will be is going to be limited to electric but still, it’s a better location and indoors which stops all the weather woes!
