Its funny go on a car Facebook group and they are all trying to talk the price up because they all have one, everyone here talks the price down because most are buyers….
Trouble is we are at a potential fulcrum.
6-12 months ago your machine was likely to appreciate in value..... I know lads with all sorts that ran machines from 2020/2021 for 6-12 months, sold them with say 500-1000hrs on and either sold at the price they paid, or made money.
But we are literally at a point where the kit could significantly devalue overnight... If you follow my ramblings you'll know I like a dabble, particularly at the lower end..... I've cash sat (which I hate having) and I have a list of things I "want"
D31s Komatsu - £5000
Site Office container - £2500
Benford 3t 2006 Dumper - £6000 (Although that wants to be down a grand)
I could go and buy these tomorrow..... issue is IF we do plummet off a cliff (And it looks increasingly likely we will) then all these bits will devalue rapidly...... the Prices we have seen the past two years are totally unsustainable in the existing market no matter what way you look people where buying machines for £100,000 to earn not a lot more than they would earn driving back in 2018..... we are 4 years on and I'd say that disconnect has become worse.
Reality wise for you, If you NEED it gone as it's a effective noose then get it gone..... Otherwise wait and see.
Difference between here and Faceache is Reality is King.
