100%, Id have thought £30k would be a bargain for that, based on the fact that I wouldn't have thought itd lose much- obviously not though. Makes you think you've really got to have good work for an Engcon, because clearly the resale isn't as cracked up as one might imagine?

Probably 30k of engcon as it's a newer ecoil tilty
Think with a tilty machine is nobody wants to pay what it would cost to kit it out originally so bids and offers are going to be low in a hope they can get a steal then no surprises it doesn't sell

Got to have deep pockets for it just to keep sitting and readvertising it in the hope that a lucky guy comes along

I remember years ago selling a car, I wanted £1500.00 a guy comes along and offers me £1350. No thanks its worth more... anyway ended up selling it for £1250.00 :love:

At least with a digger you can keep working it and keep the money coming in. I wonder why he wants to sell it?

I was wondering if it was that one, looked a sensible buy when you had it on the market with good provenance. If I was currently doing the work it was built for I'd go and see the seller 😉

Maybe with the Komatsu package the base machine has got too many hours on to get the value the spec should, so the carrier is reducing the value of the tiltrotator, maybe if it had 2 - 3k hours it would fetch money more in line with the investment.

So the story is a nice Gentleman called Mark i think bought it and sent it to the Engcon man in Scotland. Who went to town on it? Line boring etc, anyway im afraid Mark got diagnosed with a stage 3-4 cancer and sadly passed months later. His Mrs was left with it and all of Marks other projects, Mark was a friend of LGP Eddie, and Eddie (LGP) said the best person to sort / sell for what it is is us.

It arrived with a host of attachments in good order, we had so many offers to split but it needed to stay together, Mark had a lot more money in it than it sold for. Sadly the machine needed a pump or block or somthing in Callum’s ownership which he sorted but its well sorted machine. However this was 3 years ago. I was asked to buy it back but given todays market its not so easy and as with all engcon / tilt machines its only worth the right money to the right man.

You need to advertise for 6 months at one price to give it a chance.
The digger without a tilt is probably worth 20-30 k

£20-30k is a very wide window!…
Funny spec machine, not a 13 tonner, not an 8. And that tilty wouldn’t transfer onto anything bigger (it’s at the top of the limit for S45 already).
I would have bought it and do have plenty of work for it, but the cash would also be a decent down-payment on a brand new bigger machine which is more likely what I’ll buy next.

20-30 is a wide window it would depend on the buyer.

Its also a fair size with a blade which does it some justice
