Hi guys just need some advice I have a Hitachi zx 50 I need to do the king post and bushes can I do it without taking the arm off or am I just making hard work for myself any advice would be appreciated thanks Andy

Arm off. Not that hard if you’ve got plenty of hydraulic blanks for the lines and some way of supporting the boom.

put a grading bucket on, on the deck and a tripod'd be the most basic for supporting the root, with a chain block or pull lift ... get it set up, blank it all off and back away a foot or two on level hard ground

It’s what I do!
I have done a few king posts in my time, like Druid says, fit ditching or grader, keep all hydraulics connected, knock out king post pins, using offset ram move the king post to the edge of the frame just outside the bush edge, a welder and sledge hammer will be handy,
