Jet washer problem

Anyone have any idea why my interpump jetwasher is not working?

I left it out during that cold snap, then next time I used it a stupidly ran it dry for a minute or so thinking one of these factors might be the issue

It isn't making any bad noises, nothing appears to be wrong (other than no pressure). I've checked filter where the water goes in, it's clear.

Any ideas welcome, thanks in advance

Just a guess, the valves and seals in the pump have become subject to freezing conditions and then run dry getting hot, the ceramic parts may have got damaged if it has any!

I would go with this as well, I bought a towable pressure washer from an auction all started fine thought winner filled it with water and guess what the ceramics inside are all smashed to bits now I'm thinking do I spend £1000 on a pump or try and refurb it my self but turns out the pump and parts is only made for the manufacturer so have to go direct

Unfortunately second hand jet washers are normally second hand for a reason!

Mmm.. I fear I may have effed it as yes it does have ceramic parts I believe. However I haven't noticed any change to the way the pump runs... no nasty noises etc. guess I'll take it into the shop and see what the damage is,,, and what the damage to fix it is

Chuck it on a pallet up to Britclean in Stoke, they won’t con you and will sort it cheaper than anyone else guaranteed!
Frost and jet washes don’t mix… my first big one ended that way!

Doesn't look to difficult to sort out if bits need replacing. Above link is useful if anyone ever wants info on how to service an interpump pump.


Might take it apart over the weekend and see if there's anything obvious. Parts are easily obtained

Interpump are easy to rebuild.

I fixed it. I looked at the valves, they were fine, could see the ceramic pistons with the valves out, they were fine from what I could see. That left the unloader valve. I took it apart and put it back together and it did the trick. There are some weak/delicate springs/mechanisms that I think had seized, perhaps due to being in a hard water area. Very easy to take apart and put back together, I'd say a good well designed pump.

Many of them do suffer unloaded valve problems also, usually grains of sand or ice!

I had the same problems and I threw out the washing machine, thought expensive and useless repairs. I wish I had found this forum earlier, thanks for the help participants!

Should have tried CEtops
