So arrive site today and the yellow turd of a dumper with 41 hours on the clock wouldn't start. All sorts of beeps and alarms but no sign of starting. Jewsons came out and said 'not another' . The 4 hour JCB response was awesome though, Jewson's called at them 8:15 and no sign of them when we left at 5.

Found another well engineered feature on the digger, fair play to the JCB engineers for putting the thought in and getting it just right. The ignition key is set at just the right angle so when the key is in, it constantly jabs you in the thigh.

And people actually buy this shite, amazing!

8026 is no better if you have shorts/trousers with the big pockets on the front, if there is anything in them, it will catch the switches on the left hand side, which normal results in either the lights turned on, or the excellent feature of the wiper blade coming in as the window is open. same as the blade lever hangs too far forwards so touches your hand when pulling bottom right on the lever

I had to jump on a jcb micro today as the agency driver working for the main contractor couldn’t get it out the building he’d gone in, wet sloppy clay. Guy couldn’t track and push himself out, so I had to get it out for him must be pretty embarrassing on your first day. anyway jcb micro was awful, I’d like to try newer generations of jcb like Ollies new one

What could you hire for a micro anyway, realistically?

You could always use a mix and match hitch, but micro attachments are so cheap you may as well buy them IMHO.

I thought that until I bought them! If you don’t want to buy then just make up a headstock for yours, they only bolt on as you know.

Get some bushes. The tilt bucket and breaker, i bought off jcbdave are on 30mm pin and my minis are on 25mm. Dave gave me pin and bushes and never had a problem

well jcb turned up yesterday to look at yellow turd1, got on it confirmed wouldn't start. spent an hour fiddling with wires and it proceeded to start. He said he had no clue what it was as all he done was check wires so some other punter will be experiencing the JCB quality no doubt.. Swopped the ignition barrel anyway.

Just pure coincidence i was loading YT2 (the spare they dropped off) with the 1.5 tonner whilst he was looking at YT1 and the bloody thing just died as I was dumping a bucket. No cough or splutter just died. He came over as he heard it and it just fired back up and has worked since. No rhyme or reason.

Makes carter diggers look like volvo.

They were made out of some aircraft grade offcut of something very expensive glad they are still going strong
