Considering purchasing a JCB Hydradig for my new business idea in the local area. With over 7 years of experience operating excavators, I believe this could be a great addition to my equipment. Since I don't have a means of transporting a track digger, the Hydradig seems like great idea with the means of a bigger digger and can also fit into small areas.
I am wondering of £400 per day would be sufficient to cover the costs of using the Hydradig for travel to and from job sites and make a living! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I know a few folk that have had no issues with them. I also know a few folk that have had loads of problems though.

Yup, £400 is cheap for a 2.7t and grab in my book.

Also funnily enough I was in the initial conception ‘think tank’ meeting where the idea of the hydradig came from… top brass and a handful of owner operators.. and never got invited to the launch

@ £400 you'll be spending around £60-80 alone on fuel I'd have thought on a hydradig on white. After that, all the costs of running a business and then a half decent wage (£200?) youd be basically getting less for your £100k investment than a little 1.8t will get you. Personally would think £80 an hour would be about right. But then suddenly makes it expensive compared with hiring in similar sized tracked machine

£240 a day to drive someone else's machine depending on area, plus van and fuel card.

I'm 500 a day for a 5t tracked machine +vat and delivery/collection
