JCB Breaker pipework for a vibrating plate ?

As the title would a 3 cx with extender /breaker pipework be suitable for a machine mounted vibrating plate ?

it will easily have the power to feed it but assuming that the return will be controlled by the spool valve and one the spool is switched off by letting go of the joystick mounted switch the vibrating plate would run on as its a motor driving offset weights and the oil have no where to go as the valve would be closed that I'm guessing is less than ideal

or does the bi directional hammer switch that some have in the cab change the extender circuit to feed and open return that I assume is more suitable for vibrating plate ?

I think when set to hammer mode and not grab mode most are return straight to tank and if not it would be a very easy setup to tee into the hammer line and tank inlet

Your breaker should be on a button on floor on left side when facing rear

They run patch planers ok, I assume similar motor setup to vibe plate.

In any case, I’d expect the plate to have a cross line relief valve on the motor to protect it.
But it will run much better with a free flow back to tank anyway.

It’s what I do!
Which JCB 3cx model? Some of the older site master extenders had open circuit back to tank, some had a t valve, and some had a filter inline.

its a 3cx compact 2016 the extender is operated form a switch on the joystick , there is a button on the dash that looks like it changes the flow from two way to breaker but if you select breaker you cant activate the hyd-flow for the breaker / vibrating plate from the switch on the joystick , in fact you cat un isolate the rear digger controls at all so nothing works !!!
there was no operators manual with it when I bought it so i'm in the dark there is also a small foot operated switch not a 2 way valve near where older 2cx 3cx extender foot control would be that does not appear to do anything , its probably a combination of something i need to do just don't know what !!

Im guessing 3cx 4cx with arm rest pilot controls would be similar if not the same

Never been in one so I've idea. But does it have separate controls for the aux lines and extending dipper. If not there would have to be another switch to switch between the two. Unless its either extending dipper or switch to one way hammer line like older 3cx were. Could be something random as well knowing Jcb, I'm sure its those 3cx compact that throw a fit if a brake light bulb blows (somebody did tell me about it once but can't remember what it did).

Oh quite upto date, does the seat switch on the swivel not cut the rear controls when facing forward? Or is it disconnected! They never worked that well anyway. One time you either had the option of hammer circuit or extended dipper, not both, but a separate valve could be fitted on a pedal for the hammer if required. I’m guessing your plate would need open circuit return to work without issues, if the hammer works on a button then it will be able to run the plate, but you may have to fit a manual two way valve to turn on when the plate is fitted and find somewhere to tee into the tank.

thanks Mick I Rang my local JCB dealer and I'm a little further forward , yes the seat switch does work and I'm aware of how it works and how to activate the controls after you have turned the seat , the switch on the side dash works the free flow return right enough and the foot switch is another way to activate the flow when in that mode with apparently more flow , however it seems when I switch to that free flow setting the it isolates the rear controls and they wont work at all so I need to do some more investigation into it .
