JCB 86c dipper bush removal

These type. Brass with delrin studs by the look of it. Gave it a few taps but I’ll just end up chewing it up.

What’s the best way to remove? And anyone got a link to replacements? Bought some spring fit steel ones off eBay but these look a better design.

Brass will cut out easy enough? I think these are the optional extra ‘long life’ bushes.. not sure why they haven’t lasted very long on your machine though?

Probably because the previous owner believed JCBs ‘500 hour grease interval’ bollocks!

Keep running them, you only need to grease twice a year

Someone on here or ce posted up an article that said they prematurely wear if you grease them to normal schedules. And possibly if you use the wrong grease

I’ve got the same bushes on my machine.. I’ve greased it more than 3 times… and it has barely any wear at 1300hrs!

I’m going with lack of grease for so much play at 380 hours.

Souldn't even need a stepped drift.
Once the grease seal has been removed, the bush will be suficiently recessed (5mm?) that any drift will be adequately located.

worth pointing out these will be 1-3/4 inch not 45mm i.d... any standard off the self bush just might not fit if the od is different
