Hi guys need some help 🙉
Have a 8050 RTS excavator which is driving me crazy !!
The problem I have is when I use the AUX switch on the left hand control and the AUX light comes on which is fine . I can do this twenty times and there is no problem as Aux on the boom works a treat using my post Auger . Sometimes it disengages with out hitting the switch the red light goes out and because your using the foot pedal to use the Auger in Aux it swings to the left or right violently with out notice .
Other times you switch the switch on and the red light comes on on the dash saying AUX but when you press the switch again the red light won’t go out and the Aux is still engaged . Other times it works perfect . Is there an ECU what controls this and has any one had the same problem???.
All the best to you all and any help would be more than appreciated
Pete 👍

I'd start by pulling the switch out and shorting the right contacts to see if that mends it before you drive too deep into it it could easily be a faulty switch

If you can pull the rubber gator back from the bottom of the joystick, and try giving the wire coming out of the top of the lever a waggle around when you have the problem, in case the wires have work hardened and broke internally.

Yep the button is where I would start too. Cheapest and easiest fix, and with what it goes through, probably the source of the problem.

Thank you Gentleman👍
The switch I have taken out but I feel this is not the problem. I have checked the switch and it works every time on a lighting circuit I connected to it . the switch is not a latching type fitted to this 8050 RTS it only makes a circuit when pressed . It makes a circuit when pressed and must energies something else? until you press it again and it must disconnect something? When pressed the Aux light 💡 always comes on , on the console but the faults exist as described.
Appreciate all you taking your time and replying to this issue I have .

cheapest method of locking it would be a latching relay …. press for on/press for off … you need to see if you can either find it .. or a circuit diagram to prove the latching method

Thank you for your help will try to get a diagram if possible. to establish the wiring layout and indeed see if there is any form of latching relay on the machine that operates the AUX on it .
thank you and have a good Christmas 🎄👍
All the best

You should be able to find a digital one online which is a good way to go a paper copy tends to get wrecked and is £££
