JCB 8014 - What is behind the panel ?

I have a coolant leak and have traced it to the unit that sits behind the panel on the RHS of the digger. I assume it is part of the heating system. What is the name of this box unit, and does anyone know the part number for it if it has to be replaced? I'm going to try some leak sealant additive first to see if that helps but it looks fairly corroded

I’d call it the heater matrix. If you don’t require the heater then link the pipes together and bypass the matrix.
If you want to use a leak fix, then K Seal is very good I’m experience.

best stuff I've ever used was a powder called C-lit .. haven't seen it for years but was the bollaux

Thanks shovelhands, I thought that's what it was but can find no reference to in the service manual that I've just bought. I've already got k-seal on order, should be here tomorrow fingers crossed. Should be worth a try. If it fails I may just disconnect as I don't /won't use it until I get a door fitted!!

Ha haha. Yeah I know what you mean, but I'm happy to decide exactly "when" I want to use the machine so I tend to pick my days carefully! Fortunately it's been a cracking day here in Costa del Campbeltown!

I took the battery and air filter out today to give me access to the heater matrix. I could see water sleeping from one of the hose inlets to the matrix. Luckily the k-seal arrived in the post today so I gave it the recommended amount, ran the engine for ten minutes to get up to temperature and hey presto the leak has stopped! Fingers crossed for the longer term
