JCB 8010 wear pads/slides replacement

Working on my 8010 JCB, has anyone replaced the wear pads for the extending tracks before? Just looking for some insight into how bad of a job it is.

It's on my list of jobs to do.

Is yours the box section version? Newer ones are a t section.

I don't think it's overly hard when I looked I to it.

Not sure which style I have, assuming the box style, it’s a 2004

Yeah, its the older style.

You'll probably also find that the square plates that bolt on the ends will have worn too.

Any idea on how the wear plates are retained? Looking at the parts diagrams, they appear the just sit in there
