Don’t mean to hijack, but I have a brand new 20” on a rim if anyone is interested? For a contractor but also fits some 6T dumpers 👍🏼

what size is the rubber though Dave? Looks like it might fit the Thwaites, but can't remember if that's 5 or 6 stud ... could well be five :unsure: ... she wears big boots though and has huge hubs

Thwaites the age of yours be 5 stud jcb axles. Tyre should be 405/70/20 for 6 ton dumper, certainly is on 2000 onwards

It’s 400/70/20.. not going to be a bargain of the year cause it cost me a a lot to buy from the dealers! Ideally £400 Ono.

Dunno what tyre price are at the mo but it'll be 4 year since i re shod my dumper with 405/70/20 i think it was £200 a corner. You must have a dear rim in the middle.

Without wishing to go too off topic, but while we are on the tyre dealer subject, I’ve just had great service from Redpath Tyres

After calling many many tyre dealers, they were the only ones who put a bit of effort into actually helping me and sourcing the tyres I wanted, rather than trying to push me into an alternative.
I hope I’m not jumping the gun with a recommendation, as the tyres are due with me on the 3rd, coming direct from Belgium I believe, so although they are not here yet, I have been impressed with the service thus far and as I say they have been the only ones to make an effort 👍

They were just budget tyres Aeolus 26.5R25’s, if you were to buy Bridgestone, Michelin or Goodyear your a lot more, picked up 6 new Goodyear’s from Volvo construction they were loading shovel take offs from memory they were 16,500 and that was a good deal

have heard of BIG tyres ... used to have (and may still have ?) an outfit called King David Tyres, round here, who were brilliant for weird / unusual stuff ... and ace prices (y)

Difference is one has stock and the other doesn’t 😉

I use my local tyre company - Hopley tyres, not all about price matching but quality of fitment and not destroying your rims & nuts !
