Don't worry about speed as that takes power away our 110 got no power to open while heavy pallet on forks JCB has loads

I had a 3cx on hire for afew months with front QH bucket and inbuilt forks, great Idea but the forks are near impossible to see, machine is really unstable without the bucket on front & or a heavy pallet. You can’t really do any hard digging without the front bucket mounted as it just tips over in all directions. You need a chunk of space to put the front bucket out of the way & your usual set of buckets as well. Bonus is the lifting capacity is incredible, easily lift 3tons - but realistically not many pallets are over 1.5tons on site. Personally I’d never bother with front qh(plus it’s actually slower to get the forks out)

I agree Dave,I can sometimes flip the the forks over 20 times a day,takes a minute,changing a bucket for forks would drive me mad.

I think there’s a brand new one at Russells new Holland dealer(formerly platts Harris) which I thought was a bit odd for a tractor dealer but maybe it’s part of the franchise agreement to have one in stock.

I'm miserable and get face on if I've to get forks out twice. I always say "if I'm getting forks out we do all the fork work now" sod doing it 20 times

I’d rather flip the forks than move whatever it is by hand any day!which on our own jobs is the less desirable alternative.

never had any real problems once you get into using them they are ok, as simon says open clam and look through and no probs.they're a PITFA to use on a 4 in 1 though

A lot of livestock farms used to run a wheeled digger, very handy using a backhoe if you have fallen stock inside a shed etc, plus in the days when you could bury them was able to dig the hole then dump in the carcass. Telehandlers have reduced the amount in ag now but still the odd one or two on farms.

I changed from a 89 3cx to a 1999 NH 95 (had all the 110 bits on it just a smaller engine) and cant complain, secondhand you get a lot better value and CNH parts seem to be a lot more reasonably priced compared to JCB but that is just my opinion.

cant see the back end would lift much with forks on maybe ok static with legs down but moving about fetch and carry cant see much being lifted and moved at all. never seen forks on the back of a jake.only way to use 'em ... but really knackers the capacity ...

Open clam - inset forks - close clam while rotating bucket so your not knackering the back of the forks/cutting edge up - lift safely - place loadonly way to use 'em ... but really knackers the capacity ...

End of the day a backhoe isn't a forklift. Forks are just a handy thing to have for the right instance. If your spending a day moving pallets just get a forklift or a teleporter.

Over the years I’ve seen so many busted packs of blocks and bricks, dropped pipes, scaffold poles, timber, all from backhoe forks. Considering how anal H& S have been about irrelevancies, I’m amazed those forks are still allowed to be used.

LB110 is a great machine, My one has got some ditching work to do next week, Only problem is my ditching bucket bracket does not match the quick hitch so until i can get the correct brackets the quick hitch has to come off! We have a 7.5 ton Iveco here and the lorry parts now come in Case New Holland boxes.

Last time I did my 180 test the forks didn’t form part of it whatsoever, very poor. It’s not the fault of the backhoe, it’s just terrible operators!

Trouble with wheeldiggers in general is the utter incompetence of operators. There a swiss army knife..... but if the operator can only use it to stab things it's never worth the money.
