I've found an early JCB 3cs for sale if anyone is interested, I've been looking for parts for mine and came across it on Ebay
Item no. Is 155546125522
It's in a breakers yard in Newcastle there
asking £1400 it runs and drives and digs.
Worth a look for those who like these old machines

a mate of mine had one of those loading rubbish on a civic amenity tip into 40yd hooklift skips for the local council he did it for a few years and earnt good money with it biggest issues were punctures but if you did not drive in the rubbish and kept the area cleaned up it wasnt a problem, it was a brilliant machine to be fair not the most favoured bit of kit but well up to the job.

That reminds me, I’ve a battered old 3cx in the yard wants advertising, could do with more than £1400 for it tho

I think they had a lucas? torque converter in that, an early shuttle box.

I think the 70's 2D, 3Cand 3D had Brockhouse Torque converters then i think they went to Borg Warner on the early 3cx machines.

seem to make decent money the ones i have seen sold quite a few people are keen on the older 3cx
