Is the backhoe loader a thing of the past?

I have had Case 590 with servos , NH110 stick control not servo, JCB 3cx up to project 12 and I prefer the Fermec / Terex over the others, It has a much better turning circle than all of the others and the pushing power is amazing, Watch the lower bottom boom bushes both the inner and outer ones the often get missed you see both the grease nipples at base of the boom ether side of the kingpost but there is also another one underneath in the centre which gets bungded up and missed and thats the one that puts all the grease along the pin. Also check the UJ's my last fermec they were totally fooked I had to strip down both hubs and change all of the UJ,s some have grease nipple and some don't. Also fit a battery isolator as they have been known to self combust! The single ram on the front bucket is good but if you abuse it the piston rod end where it joins the bucket linkage can shear off i have seen the all welded up before now on several machines. I know my machine is a 2007 with the Perkins 1104c-44T Engine and the Rexroth valve blocks and the backhoe controls are excellent. Have you opened up the bonnet at the very front in front of the radiator there is a metal flap that lifts if you are lucky the tools will still be in it (mine were)!

Full dumpy of sand, Full reach + extension.... Didn't miss a beat.

What's even more amazing is I can pick and carry on the backhoe and it's not even Attempting to lift the front.

my old '87 JakieB'd do a full dumpy full stretch with the jacks down and the 4 in 1 opened out flat and that was 2WD .... would also pick and carry a dumpy on the back end - again with the 4 in 1 opened out to give you some steering :giggle:
handled heavy big round hay bales on forks on the back end with ease - going well over half a tonne, shoving them into a barn or loading onto trailers for our 'field owning' neighbours (no not them w⚓s 🤬)

Wow, remember my mates older brother getting that in the 90s 🤣 bet it wasn't anything like that then.

I remember saving up for it. £55 I still have it along with the big mobile crane. Although they are in pieces. My wife still buys them for me for birthdays and Christmases. They are on a shelf but I'm going to pack them away so they don't get to much UV damage and then my boy can have them when he is older.

My lads just working on the Defender classic . My dad's brother gave it to dad to but he never got to start it 😕. So my lads building in memory ☺️. Dad did the big Ferrari F1 car when he was in hospital and then hospice and started the Ford GT.
We've donated the F1 to the hospice who are auctioning it 🤗.

For anyone who's practical but stuck in bed they are absolutely awesome to keep brain and hands active . Dad absolutely loved it. Also did the New defender when he was in Christie's a year or two back.

He's definitely got something up his sleeve leaving us hanging like that..!
Yes - more money in my pocket! Bloody thing was costing a fortune in hydraulic hoses which all seemed to be happening less than 8hrs apart from each other.....
It actually went back at the start of May and I've missed it for one day since then. Its in Poland now according to Livelink - far enough for my 5 min 5 mile warranty to have expired
