Is the backhoe loader a thing of the past?

Hey guys,

In my opinion, backhoe loaders remain relevant, especially for tasks where efficiency in both digging and loading is crucial. While newer equipment like mini excavators have their advantages, backhoes continue to be a practical choice on various job sites due to their versatility and compact design.
In my opinion random bots posting meaningless twaddle remain irrelevant.

To be fair it did look a bit rough on those pictures and in my opinion quite high hours,I would think if you were edging up to that sort of money you could find a tidier machine, especially if you could handle going for sticks rather than servos, worth remembering that a clean machine at 20 - 25000 is money in the bank really as depreciation from there will be minimal if it’s in nice condition.

Only if you have the money in the bank to start with 😁

And are able to keep it clean- I imagine a £25000 left out doors over a few years would soon deteriorate along with the value?

The sheds a better investment for sure, the stuff to fill it will come in time. Did I imagine it or do you have several forklifts, a backhoe is a forklift!
Yes. Moffett at the shed site. Lpg 2.5t Jungheinrich at the rented work yard 9 miles away, and now the little towable 24v one which needs brakes sorting. 3 seems a good number :)
