Is the backhoe loader a thing of the past?

Haha that's not a bad idea. Get people to make enquiries- make a lowball offer, suck teeth at the rebound offer and quietly put the phone down. In comes Stroppy, hits him with £11k and wham bam thank you mam we have a deal.
I am not sure I could ever get over having missed it at 10K and then having to drive further to pay a dealer MORE money for the same machine! Will look at the 580 SLE Servopower tomorrow but fully electronic pilots on a 25 year old machine is spooking me a bit. To add to the thought process my BIL has offered me a deal on his 590ST that is worth considering...

As in family rates? Right. Take it, I'll give you what you paid for it and that'll leave you plenty for the old one down in Truro🤣

Are they electric? Pretty sure they are just a servo pump system like normal.

I would definitely be seriously considering your BIL machine if it’s sensible money, a few jobs would soon earn back the extra you’ve spent and it’s relative youth and apparent nice condition should ensure many years of use with a modern looking machine.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Yep, those are Danfoss joysticks alright, it looks to be electronic for sure.
To be fair, they have been around a long time, its a proven system..... Matbro used them way back in the 90'S
would beat the hell out of wrestling servo pipes, when the constant seat rotation does for them PDQ:rolleyes::oops::(
Think Stu @Left hooker could give us a run down on those pleasures

Also better the devil you know!!
I’ll give it some thought. His is 2010 590ST with 8000 hours. He’s had the kingpost/boom cylinder and brakes done in the last 4 years. Needs a few bits tidying. He has had it 4 years and not loved it and misses his 2008 model. One I’m looking at today is 10 years older with half the hours and maybe £6Kcheaper at the moment.
Someone told me with the Case, it’s not if the brakes need doing it’s WHEN the brakes need doing !

Well…. Took a look at the 1999 SLE ServoPower today. Pretty nice but I’ve passed it up as he’s not interested in any PX or discount and reckons he’s got someone happy to take it for 18K. It needs little doing apart from a bloody good service. Tight in most places apart from the slew rams centre pin (whatever that’s called) and got ALL the toys for a 25 year old. 3 speed hydraulics/auto bucket rattle/bucket to dig/auto bucket positioning for rear work. Steering wheel wouldn’t stay up so catching on the joysticks. Very nice machine all in all. The one bit that would annoy me is having everything on the seat means you can’t move the bucket without facing forward, and you can’t adjust the legs or anything like else on the back unless facing backwards. Unless there is a function for overriding that I have missed?
Someone will be happy with it, got plenty of life left in it .
