I'll go with that.

The 432 was stood more and more, I can only drive one thing at once so off it went. Plus the enquiries have got less and less. Since it going in April last year I've only had to hire one for 2 days and for the first time ever I hired one with a driver for a day before Christmas and that was for one of my price jobs. There rate was less than what my day rate used to be and bonus is I could be on the ground keeping everything else moving rather than me been sat in the seat and trying to keep on top of what lads were doing

I’m a huge backhoe fan, would have another for sure… BUT they simply don’t fit on my sites anymore,
can’t lift more than 1ton ,
won’t lift over 1st scaffold lift and at that can only load into the middle of a loading bay.
Can’t unload from far side of a artic next to a headboard.
It’s a long way up into the cab when Your in and out on drainage etc

None of this really mattered when I was an owner op going to other peoples sites as they had forks etc on hire, but for my own purposes a 6ton and telehandler works alot better.

That’s fkin incredible. Two skilled guys and some awesome machinery getting the job done in the middle of nowhere with no hassle.

Over here that would be twenty guys and ten machines plus five safety officers, most of them doing fk all.
Bang on plus associated site compound and roadways and other crap
The cost savings must be incredible.
This country's fked.
