do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
if I was gonna build, TEK panel'd be my choice I think ... quick and massively OTT on the thermal requirements
went around Berkeley as a teenager with school
It is quite apt that part of Berkeley is now a school. The facilities they have there are jaw dropping, I'm sure it's the way to get our country back on it's feet![]()

when internal walls were built with stammit board which is the same as this they had special boards with holes from top to bottom and you use to cut out a electic box and hope you find the holes stammit boad was made from wheat straw and if it got wet it would start to grow .Where do you chase cables and pipes into walls
Similar sip panels have a pre built cavity on the internal part of the boards (full width) , so internally all you need to do is run your pipework and cabling then install your vapour membrane and plasterboard. Floor joists also tend to be the engineered webbed beams so easier for routing stuff too.Where do you chase cables and pipes into walls
never seen this before on fleabay ...... be cheaper direct from KingspanSimilar sip panels have a pre built cavity on the internal part of the boards (full width) , so internally all you need to do is run your pipework and cabling then install your vapour membrane and plasterboard. Think cost wise it use to be north of £100 per m2 bit probably north of £150 now
What happens when mice chew ya membrane, damp gets in and all ya OSB turns to mush?if I was gonna build, TEK panel'd be my choice I think ... quick and massively OTT on the thermal requirements
would depend on what you skin it with I'd've thought Rob ? ... also fairly sure it's resin bonded OSB not water based adhesivesWhat happens when mice chew ya membrane, damp gets in and all ya OSB turns to mush?
For something as expensive as a house, think I’ll stick to bricks and cement thanks.
No reason it can’t be super insulated and the big bad wolf can blow as hard as he likes, it won’t fall down.
I have also heard stories about mortgage companies being warry of timber framed houses, so what they would make of low quality flakes of wood glued together (OSB) and foam as structural components I’m not sure.
As for how to recycle the materials when it’s demolished - I think that will be worth watching for a laugh.
Perfect for the next lockdown.made from wheat straw and if it got wet it would start to grow .
Not a H&s sign in sight
I'm not sure why you watched it to the end eitherNot sure why I watched until the end lol
