Hi all, I have for sale an Idig 2d connect unit with the 3d gps upgrade. I bought this in the summer last year and have recently changed my job so the unit is no longer needed. All works as it should comes with all sensors, sensor mounts, fitting tools, RAM triple window mount for screen and double mount for led light bar. I had this fitted to a 210 kobelco but will work on any size of excavator. Also comes with carbon fibre rover pole and a light box to charge the sensors when light is scarce. Looking for around £12000 vat free, for this as new. license for gps are present. Any questions give me a shout. Located in Aberfeldy in Perthshire, Scotland.

I assume given it’s vat free there won’t be an invoice…? Or are you somehow not over the vat threshold?

I have the original invoices from Sealand surveys for the 2d connect unit and the original invoice from scotia surveys in Cumbernauld for the 3d gnss. I was on the books for a smallish company and I bought this myself to put on his digger while I was on hire to Bam. Now erecting electricity poles so no use for the unit now.

Yeah the old boss didn’t know what GPS was so no danger of him buying it. Tried to get him to buy it from me so it stayed with the digger when I told him I wanted 12 for it he thought 1200, sums it up right there.

That’s going well beyond the call of duty !🤔 I’m off to tell my right hand man this story . See if he will buy it 😉
I love my idig , good luck getting it sold on , did you try the suppliers to see if they’d take it back ?

Hi there yes I sent Sealand an email but haven’t heard back. Also spoke to Filippos at scotia he is going to see if there is any interest at scotplant at end of April. If it sell before well and good, great bit of kit.

Yeah there’s not many like me about unfortunately. Everyone I spoke to when i was buying all thought I was off my head paying that kind of money for nothing in return, there’s more to life than money my old dad used to say.👍🏽

We are an IDig dealer here in Ireland, I have no real need for yours unfortunately but will be sure to offer help to any prospective customers you may have in terms of support, back-up or updates (y)

I did something similar. On my first job the boss told me to change the combine knives. Gave me a pair of 13mm spanners.

After slicing my knuckles for the third time, I went into town and spent probably my whole months pay on a newfangled battery impact wrench. The whole set were changed in under an hour.

I quit a month later and have never stopped buying the right tool for the job. There’s a moral in there somewhere, but I can’t quite put my finger on it…

Still no takers for the Idig unit, I thought It would have sold but to no avail, so I will knock another £500 off the price so it now stands at £10500 bargain of the year for someone. Many thanks if anyone is interested let me know.
