The mrs likes badgers but all one round here are sunbathing on the side of the road so I’d thought I’d get one carved.
I’ve been waiting for a nice straight piece of oak to come off a job for a while & a year ago got a nice bit & took it to a wood carver I know. He let it season to see where the cracks would be before carving.
The delivery was interesting because it weighs about 600kgs & won’t go through the garden gate so I put it out the front till I got a min & I’ll crane it over the house

Got sad news today. After 7 years of medical training, my good friend has been struck off after one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients & now can no longer work in the job he loves. What a waste of time, training & money. A genuinely nice guy, and a great vet.
